About Us

Our Story
When I founded AnyGirl Netball in 2021, my aim was to create a fun, accessible weekly session for girls in Sandwell — a safe space where they could be seen, heard and empowered.
I discovered netball at 11 as a shy, quiet Year 7 with little confidence. Joining a team changed everything. In one of the most deprived areas in the country, netball gave us purpose, role models and a sense of family. With the support and trust of our coaches, my underfunded, small team went on to reach the England Netball Club and School finals — something rarely achieved.
That experience taught me how powerful the right people and environment can be. This is why I founded AnyGirl Netball: to use sport to unlock confidence and greatness in young people.

Why we do what we do
Currently, Netball is the most played female-dominated sport in the UK, and many girls and young women in areas of deprivation are unable to access the sport for various reasons. We hope to correct this and ensure that they can access Netball with the support needed for them to be successful in life.
We hope to provide a space for girls and young women to enjoy Netball, but also express themselves, work out who they are and who they wish to become.
We hope to use this unique opportunity to provide members of our organisation with the tools and guidance they need to help them navigate life and build their career skills. Our mission is to create a supportive community that fosters growth and development for the next generation of female leaders.

Our Funders
We are proud to be supported by a range of funding partners who share our mission to empower girls and young women through inclusive, accessible netball programmes and multi-sport sessions in Birmingham and the West Midlands. This vital funding allows AnyGirl Netball to deliver affordable community netball, after-school provision, and performance netball pathways, alongside our youth development initiatives Beyond the Court and LEADS. Our programmes support girls of all ages and abilities, helping to increase participation in girls’ sport, improve confidence, wellbeing and life skills both on and off the court.

If you are interested in sponsoring AnyGirl Netball and supporting girls’ sport, youth development and community netball programmes, we would love to hear from you.
